Moving Poem #2

What meaning

does a two year

old day planner have

any more?

He asks.

Everything, I say.

I love 2 year planners, and I keep them (you are not surprised)! They have come in very handy and are part of “my” historical archives collection that includes old telephone directories, calendars, etc.
Ok, I am a pack rat.

    I second that emotion.

(I didn’t mean to hit post so quickly.)

I recently found an old receipt in a jacket pocket dating back to 2001. It was for a veggie sub at the Buffalo State student union. Upon discovering this receipt, I got incredibly wistful. I’ve been meaning to scan it and stick it on the Lance. Old planners are so TELLING. Before I had planners, I had plain old wall calendars. I believe I still have a wall calendar from 11th grade, stored in a Rubbermaid bin along with various rigmarole from my youth.

I thought girls were the only ones who held onto crap like this, until my husband boxed up his life and moved out of his Old Northeast bachelor pad.

How about Sam teaches Joe to love a vegetable (or at least consume one), and Joe teaches Sam to hold on to things that count, like old reporter notebooks and jeans i haven’t worn in years.

Do you still buy wall calendars? I do. Last year was puppies. 2011 is all about the pocket pigs: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1155&bih=760&q=pocket+pigs&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g3g-m2&aql=f&oq=&gs_rfai=.
